One hour limit for 4 fishermen by Fisher’s Island. We usually prefer fishing just short of the top of the incoming tide and fishing the turn into the out going. The bite was insane, one friend couldn’t even keep his line in the water because the rest of us were calling for the net. Once the tide slowed down, I threw on a jig to pull in multiple personal bests. This day I pulled in two fish over 7 pounds, one 8 pounder and one just over about 8.3, but the one on the left in the picture was 9.25 pounds. It was like thunder was rumbling through my St. Croix into my arm and shoulder. What a fight!
